The amount of alcohol that entered in the bloodstream at a certain period can be measured in percentages through blood alcohol concentration (BAC) or most often called blood alcohol level (BAL). A BAC of 0.05 percent means there is 5 parts of alcohol per 10,000 parts of blood in the body. A 0.3-0.5 percent BAC could lead to coma, brain damages and even death.

Health Assessment Tools

Screening tests are an important part of the comprehensive health assessment of students every year. The medical and dental team consisting of the doctor, dentist and nurse handle most of them. The health teacher also helps in the test during their health class. They can assist in the vision testing, screening for scoliosis and plumb line test for posture. They also get the students' height and weight in preparation for the fitness testing. The teacher who assess the fitness status of the students also administers the fitness testing. The ultimate purpose of this is for your own protection and good health. The data gathered from the screening test are needed to help identity the disabilities that will deter you from giving your best in your studies for the whole academic year. Blurred vision, dental carries, poor posture, hearing difficulty and susceptibility to communicable diseases will prevent you from learning and enjoying your time in school with your classmate.

Your health record is very important. It contains the following essential information:
